In this workshop, you’ll step into Golden Kite Trading’s warehouse of hidden treasures, rummaging through unique finds to uncover the perfect piece to upcycle**. From there, you’ll dive into the art of decoupage and creative upcycling – transforming the old and forgotten into something fresh, beautiful, and full of new life. (sample photos are of an upcycled project chosen from Golden Kite in September and gives you an indication of what can be archived in this workshop)
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned crafter, this is the perfect opportunity to relax, get creative, and connect with like-minded people.
"Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing coloured paper onto the surface. Th e word decoupage comes from the Middle French word découper, meaning "to cut out". The practice has a long history, with roots in East Siberian tomb art and 12th-century Chinese paper crafts, before spreading to Europe in the 17th century."
What’s Included:
✨ Your Upcycling Project – Choose your piece from a selection of marked items in the warehouse on the day.
✨ All Materials & Tools – Everything you need to transform your item into a unique upcycled masterpiece. (If you have something special you’d like to incorporate, feel free to bring it along. Please note: we can’t take responsibility for personal belongings, so we recommend keeping extras to a minimum.)
✨ Refreshments – A choice of tea, instant coffee, squash or water to keep you refreshed while you create.
✨ Sweet Treats – Cakes and biscuits to enjoy during the workshop. (If you have allergies, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to cater for you — or feel free to bring your own favourite treat!)

Refreshments - All attendees will get a free hot drink / cold drink (tea/instant coffee or squash)
Sweet Treats - There will also be a selection of sweet treats / cakes, which will keep you going throughout the workshop.
Timings - Please arrive at 2.15pm for a 2.30pm start... to give you time to get drinks, cake and get settled to start the session, please don't come too early as we may still be setting up.
We've been allowed for 2.5 hours, but some people might take less time than others, please be mindful of the time and your projects, though some are quicker than others we can't go too much over the time.

If you happen to spot an unmarked item that you’d love to upcycle, you’ll have the option to upgrade by covering any additional cost on the day. Please note that pricing and availability of these extra items will be at the discretion of Golden Kite Trading, and any such costs are separate from — and do not affect — the set price of this workshop.
