🌟 THROWBACK TUESDAY 🌟
This is possibly still on of my favourite pieces I created!!
Starting with a photo on my iPad, it took more than too 8hrs to trace and drawn each and every scale…. with another few hours sorting it out the file to be ready for the laser… lasering itself too around 45mins, cut in Baltic birch ply… so not too long in the grand scheme of things.
Then using watercolours I carefully and meticulously painted it, ensuring not to add too much water to make the wood swell… 5 or so hours later I finished it, well the painting anyway!
I then cut and stained some wooden battens to make the frame … this really was a true labour of love, a beautiful piece which was later bought in May at the Alvaston food and drink fair.
So when you look at my work know that most pieces, have had my heart and soul poured in to them … and if you’re looking for a one of a kind bespoke piece of art get in touch!

Out for delivery… 🚚 you can find these engraved boards at the amazing Tori & Ben's Farm Shop, at kings Newton, along with amazing locally produced meats, eggs, veggies, along with a variety of chutneys, cheese and homemade pies and sausage rolls.
What an amazing club, all so clever and slightly gruesome too … look at what they’ve done. The kids designed them, BenaBerry has interpreted the designs and cut them in 5mm MDF, ready for the second session for the kids to decorate.. and wow! What a job they’ve done 👍🏻 well done to you all.. Can’t wait for next term!

But then, when it the dust settles, the chaos calms and ... there is light at the end on the tunnel… and just then and only then you need to relax 🧘♀️ let go of the darkness, the noise inside your head.. and create again… then and only then it will all become clearer….

This is quite possibly the most complex job I’ve ever done!!

17 colours…3 layers and a design with if pulled off with be epic…. I’m making 3 stained glass windows to fit this very beautiful Folly… months in the making, mental health battles, lack of self belief, mental blocks, procrastination and menopause… and I’m about to cut the first piece…. Eeeeeekkkkkk anxiety is through the roof!!!!

Here are two orders I did last year, and every time I see them I still can’t believe them! 🫶🏼😁
They have been laser etched with a photo on to white board and then hand pairings.. each taking more than 9hrs to complete. But the technique and style is unique, and makes the best gift!
The snake however took a lot longer! Etched and cut on birch, and hand painted totally to about 3 days work. 😝😁🫶🏼 labour of love.
